WEDNESDAY, APRIL 19
12:00 pm...............Arrival time starts for cattle and youth
6:00pm-8:30pm....NRJNBG Check-in NRJNBG contestants can start to check in for Thursday events
THURSDAY, APRIL 20
8:00am....................Barns Open
12:00 noon..............NRJNBG Photo Contest Entry Deadline: Photos must be submitted to the show office by 12 noon. 12:00pm-8:00pm....Youth Registration, Check-in for NRJNBG contestants
All heifer tattoos will be checked. Bring valid registration papers and heifers to check in.
Please Note: Camping stickers will need to be paid for (if not done previously) and picked up at registration. See Donna Flint.
4:00pm.....................Weighing of Steers – All steers MUST be weighed.
Angus and Belted Galloways will need their registration papers.
FRIDAY, APRIL 21
8:00am.....................Barns Open – All animals showing in the youth show must be in place.
9:30-11:30am .........Fitting Clinic and Q&A, Stock Show Univ.
12:00pm ..................Showmanship (Owned Animals)
4:00pm ....................Preview Jackpot Steer Show
6:30pm ....................Smorgasbord Dinner and Silent Auction to benefit the Youth Program – Forestry Building
SATURDAY, APRIL 22
9:30am.....................Youth Steer Show
Steer class splits will be posted after steers are weighed.
Steers will be split into three divisions.
Group of Three Steers (must be raised on the same farm)
Bred and Owned Steer Class
NRJNBG Steer Show
Showmanship (Non-Owned Animals) Classes – following steer show
2:00pm .....................National Belted Galloway Sale
Cattle purchased in the purebred sale may show in the youth heifer show on Sunday.
4:30pm* ...................Jackpot Heifer Show – Angus, Belted Galloway and Simmentals will show last
*show will start approx. 45 minutes after sale ends.
SUNDAY, APRIL 23
9:00am.......................Youth Heifer Show (owned and/or leased animals; see rules and regulations.)
Commercial Heifer Show
Show order will be announced.
