Instructions for Filling Out Forms:
"Show Registration - Payment Form" needs to be submitted for each exhibitor at the show. One Exhibitor per form. Please print out as many copies (or photocopy) for as many kids as you are entering. Registered entries and purebred steer entries need to provide copies of their registration forms. All exhibitors with cattle at the Beef Expo must provide a copy of proof of liability insurance (covering cattle off your farm) with a minimum of $1,000,000. coverage. This could be a commercial or homeowners policy. *See insurance option information below. Scroll down and then click "Download" to download a Pdf document of any of the forms you need below.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
Arrival: All animals must be in place by 8:00am Friday, April 24, 2020, but not before 12:00 noon Wednesday, April 22, 2020.
Health: All animals must meet the health requirements of the State of Maine to show at the Expo.
Youth will need to check with your state veterinarian for interstate requirements. Please contact the Division of Animal Health Industry: (207) 287-3701 and indicate that you are participating in the Beef Expo.
Bedding: Stalls and sawdust bedding will be provided to the youth. You will need to bring feed for your animals.
Participation: The Youth Show is open to all youth between the ages of 6 and 21. You must be 6 as of January 1, 2020 and not older than 21 as of January 1, 2020.
Entry Fees: There is a nonrefundable $10.00 entry fee per animal. There is an additional $10.00 entry fee for all late entries. Late entries are entries post marked after April 1, 2020. Total fees for late entries are $20.00 per animal. Late fees for Jackpot classes are $35.
Tattoos: All heifers, Purebred Angus & Belted Galloway must have a correct, legible tattoo to be eligible to show. They will be validated at check in.
Registration Papers: Copies of all heifers, Purebred Angus and Belted Galloway steers registration papers must be included with the entries for proper processing. Copies of submitted applications for registration will be accepted at the time of your entry, but you MUST have valid registration papers at the time of check in. Heifers do not have to be registered in the exhibitor’s name, they may be leased. (Bring the proper paper work, to check in). Heifers are eligible to show in one breed show only. All entries received without proper registration copies will be considered incomplete and charged a late fee.
Shorthorns: Will show under the American Shorthorn Association sanctioned show and sale rules. All Shorthorns must attain the 15/16-blood concentration level to be eligible to show. Appendix Registry Cattle will show in AOB. There will be an Appendix Shorthorn show if there are 5 or more entered.
Purebred Angus and Belted Galloway Steers: Must have a correct, legible tattoo and registration paper to be eligible to show in the Purebred Steer Shows.
COMMERCIAL HEIFERS: All heifers that are not registered will show in the commercial heifer show on Sunday. They will have the same classes as the registered heifers with the exception that they will not be eligible to participate in the champion of all breeds class.
Insurance: All exhibitors with cattle at the Beef Expo must provide proof of liability insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000.00 coverage. This could be a commercial or homeowners policy (make sure it covers cattle off your farm).
*Please Note - Insurance Option: Become a member of Maine Association of Livestock Exhibitors and receive limited liability insurance while exhibiting in Maine. Clean Up: Your stall or stalls must be free of manure and hay. Please rake all the hay and manure out. PLEASE do not cover over the hay and manure. All bedding must be pulled away from the side and end boards. All trash must be put in the proper containers. Thank you in advance for helping us clean up after a very busy weekend.
Bred and Owned Steer Show: This is a class for the person that is exhibiting the steer. (Steer owned by the individual, not a family farm.)
* Belted Galloway Youth: Belted Galloway youth showing heifers either need to own or lease them through the U.S. Belted Galloway Association. Youth must also be a current member of the NEGG and the U.S. Belted Galloway Association and must have Belted Galloway lease forms if leasing.
